Digital Story: Where I'm From

Below is my counter narrative, titled "Where I'm From". I should note that I did closely follow the rubric specifications for "Exemplary" but I did deviate from the "recommended" word limit per slide. This was a necessity, as my poem was lengthy, and partitioning the slides into such small fragments would have required more pictures and therefore extended the length of the video beyond the time limit. I did, however, change the time a slide was shown based on how much text was on each slide, so slides with more text are displayed longer than those with less text. After watching it tens of times, I'm convinced that the story is fluid, and doesn't feel interrupted by the lengthier slides. On the whole, I'm pretty impressed with the outcome.

  1. I enjoyed watching your video because I didn't know anything about you before watching this. I was also raised that failure was not and option. We are also similar because we were taught values by our families
